Privacy and local document processing

Sigy processes documents in your browser. The editor does not upload your PDF, image, or Word document bytes to Sigy servers.

Documents and signatures on your device

Working files and reusable signatures are saved in this browser profile using local storage. They are available only in that profile and are not an account sync or cloud backup. Clear the site's browser data to remove them from this browser; download anything you need first.

Optional phone signing

The desktop keeps the document. A phone sends only a signature through a temporary encrypted relay. The decryption key stays in the browsers, and relay data is removed after receipt or within five minutes. This feature requires internet access.

Hosting and network requests

Your browser requests the app, fonts, and PDF processing assets from the hosting service. Like other websites, the host may receive ordinary request details such as IP address and browser headers. The editor does not send document content with those requests.

Your control

Remove documents from the workspace, clear site data to remove local copies, and download completed files for your own records. Clearing only the app cache refreshes app assets and does not erase the saved workspace.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded?

No. The core editor reads, changes, and exports document bytes locally in your browser.

Does Sigy keep a cloud backup?

No. Your browser profile holds the working copy, so you should download files you need to preserve.
